Harrisburg – The Council, Executive Director, Barry Buckingham, and the entire Agency of PHC4 is excited to launch a new website with one primary goal in mind, making health care information and data easy for any Pennsylvanian to access and consider.
“We are excited to take this step in serving our mission of connecting Pennsylvanians with information regarding cost and quality of health care,” said Buckingham. He went on to say “…..PHC4 has always produced quality reports. Now we have a platform that makes it easy for people to find them. We will continue to produce and publish fact-based, nonpartisan reports, with the goal of reaching a wider consumer base. This new website is only the beginning.”
PHC4 welcomes this opportunity to deliver our reports and data in a user-friendly way, in addition to making it easier for those who want to purchase our data. The Council is funded through the Pennsylvania state budget in addition to generating revenue through the sale of its data to health care stakeholders around the state, the nation, and the world. PHC4 is an independent state agency formed under Pennsylvania statute, Act 89 of 1986, as amended by Act 15 of 2020, in order to address rapidly growing health care costs. The Council continues to give comparative information about the most efficient and effective health care providers to individual consumers and group purchasers of health services, in addition to giving information to health care providers to use to identify opportunities to contain costs and improve the quality of care they deliver.
